Membership Coordinator

Senior Center, Inc. is searching for a full time person to coordinate our membership services. Position open until filled; job posted February 8, 2008.

Senior Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is one of the longest operating senior centers in America and the first nationally accredited Senior Center in Virginia.

Our 100 programs in fitness, recreation, arts, travel, lifelong learning, and volunteer service involve, enrich, and empower seniors in our community.

The position requires a love of working with active adults age 50 and better.

Responsibilities include:
   1. Creating and implementing strategies to increase membership through retention of   current members, and recruitment of new members.
   2. Publishing monthly newsletter and membership handbook.
   3. Working with members, volunteers, and colleagues to create and implement strategies to better meet our mission.
   4. Serving as a liaison to, and advocate for, members.

Minimum Requirements: bachelors degree, 1+ years related experience, proficiency with MS Office, strong organization & communication skills, positive energy.
