Crafty Ladies Commemorate 50 Years
with Afghan of 50 Shades
Wednesday, August 18, 11:30 a.m.
Join us at the monthly luncheon on August 18, when the Crafty Ladies
present a very special gift to the Center as part of our ongoing 50th
birthday celebration.
The Crafty Ladies are a group of women who spend hours at home each
week working on wonderful volunteer projects and then meet at the Center
once a week to donate their items, pick up more supplies, and share
patterns, project ideas, and camaraderie.
The group will present the Center with a check and with a lovingly
handmade blanket, crocheted from 50 colors of yarn to celebrate the 50
years of service the Center has provided this community.
The generous Rosemary Ballister provided the idea for the blanket and
the initial work; a significant portion of the blanket poured off the
needle of Joann Pearson, followed by crocheting from the nimble fingers of
Cereatha Waller, Dottie Coleman, and Anne Battle.
Please join with us in receiving this special gift and celebrating this
amazing group of volunteers! |
