Jennifer's Heroes: Crafty Ladies Interview on CBS 19 Charlottesville Newsplex

The Crafty Ladies are a group of women who meet at the Senior Center each Wednesday morning. The group was established in 1992 with the goal of utilizing the participant’s varied skills to give back to the community.

Currently they are knitting or crocheting hats & mittens for the children in MACAA’s Head Start program; knitting baby caps for newborns at Martha Jefferson; knitting soft caps for women in chemotherapy; making lap robes and slippers for veterans and nursing home residents; making fleece hats & mittens for students at Burnley Moran Elementary School; and more!

New Members of all skill levels are welcome. Teaching can be provided in quilting, knitting, crocheting and other fiber arts.

Jennifer's Heroes features the Senior Center of Charlottesville with the Crafty Ladies.
