Jennifer's Heroes: Crafty Ladies Interview on
CBS 19 Charlottesville Newsplex
The Crafty Ladies are a group of women who meet at the Senior Center
each Wednesday morning. The group was established in 1992 with the goal
of utilizing the participant’s varied skills to give back to the
community.
Currently they are knitting or crocheting hats & mittens for the
children in MACAA’s Head Start program; knitting baby caps for newborns
at Martha Jefferson; knitting soft caps for women in chemotherapy;
making lap robes and slippers for veterans and nursing home residents;
making fleece hats & mittens for students at Burnley Moran Elementary
School; and more!
New Members of all skill levels are welcome. Teaching can be provided in
quilting, knitting, crocheting and other fiber arts.
