JABA Seniors In Schools Program - puts seniors into local schools where help is needed.

PVCC Performing Arts Center - provides opportunities to view or participate in theater productions.

AARP Civic Issues - gives the AARP position on issues and elections.

National Community Building Network (NCBN) - is a national network that serves as hub for brokering information and connections among community builders. NCBN regularly brings its members together and helps community builders become more effective so that their actions have a greater impact on neglected low-income communities.

Build-Com - is a listserv established in Philadelphia by the Institute for the Study of Civic Values on Philadelphia's LibertyNet to build a national network of people active in community organizations, human service agencies, the private sector, and government sharing ideas and information on how we can strengthen neighborhoods and encourage civic engagement throughout the country.

City of Charlottesville Election Officer - allows you to participate in the democratic process, and pays a stipend for work during the elections.

Albemarle County Department of Community Development - provides opportunities to get involved on committees and at public meetings.

Civic Practices Network (CPN) - is a collaborative and nonpartisan project bringing together a diverse array of organizations and perspectives within the civic renewal movement. We share a commitment to bring practical methods for public problem solving into every community and institutional setting in America.

Civic Ventures - is a national nonprofit organization that works to expand the contributions of older Americans to society, and to help transform the aging of American society into a source of individual and social renewal."
