Charlottesville Senior Programs - lists programs and activities in various Charlottesville locations.
Charlottesville Horticulture Club - has important speakers discussing various aspects of gardening and horticulture as they affect gardeners here in the Western Piedmont area.
Senior Navigator - highlights articles on community agencies and programs to help you with everything from exercising your mind and body to finding volunteer opportunities.
Wired Seniors & Seniors Match - is a directory of web sites and services for seniors. Includes SeniorSearch, a web search engine aimed at web sites of interest to the 50+ population. There is also a shopping mall, bulletin boards and discussion forums, including a singles' matching service.
Senior.Com - when this site goes "live" it will be a membership online community for seniors, with member-to-member sharing of information ranging from health to music, and from travel to trivia.
FOCUS - A Women's Resource Center - The mission of FOCUS is to be a community for any woman seeking help or growth. We promote awareness through information and education. 293-2222
AARP Social Activites - gives ideas and topics for further investigation, including Movies for Grownups.
Senior Net - is a "nonprofit organization of computer-using adults, age 50 and older. SeniorNet's mission is to provide older adults education for and access to computer technologies to enhance their lives and enable them to share their knowledge and wisdom." Discussion roundtables and chatrooms allow seniors to communicate with other seniors on a wide range of topics, such as gardening, history, writing, sports, world events, etc.
