Iyengar yoga is a traditional form of Hatha yoga that focuses on structural alignment and uses belts and blocks to aid performing postures. It emphasizes the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration and meditation. It aims to improve health through uniting the mind, spirit, and body and is good to relieve stress. Standing poses build strong legs, increase general vitality, and improve circulation, coordination and balance, ensuring a strong foundation for study of more advanced poses.

Class will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays. Enrollment can be for either Monday or Thursday at $40/month for members and nearby workers or $65/month for both days a week for members and nearby workers. The class works for those with joint replacement as well as other individuals; you must be able to stand unsupported.
