
Audio File Creation and Editing
- Digitizing music from vinyl and tape was demonstrated at
our June 6th meeting. Trial versions of the programs
recommended by our presenter Stephen Soghoian can be

- Cool Edit
2000 - You can use it to record your own music,
voice, or other audio, edit it, mix it with other audio
or musical parts, add effects and master it so that you
can burn it to a CD, post it on the World Wide Web, or
email it.
- Sound
Forge Studio 6.0 - This version makes it easy to
record, edit, and process audio using your PC. Record
from a CD, microphone, LP, cassette, or musical
instrument, and then edit your recording using a wide
range of tools and effects. 1001 sound effects are
included.
