There are websites that allow you to comparison shop and get opinions from professional reviewers and users on the products you seek. Most of these sites allow you to put your potential selections side-by-side to evaluate the features. Then you can read the user comments and evaluations to see if the product lives up to expectations. They also give you the prices at several sources on the web. • Epinions.com - covers all products with a good search function, a super layout for feature comparisons with one click to user reviews, and rates the suppliers with with user satisfaction comments.
• Shopping.com - no advantage over Epinions as it uses Epinions data.
• BizRate - compare only three products at a time with limited reviews, but a larger selection of models; same prices at major stores with fewer store ratings.
• CNET.com - has a huge number of user postings on all types of electronics, but fewer product selections; good tuitorials to help with selection.
• Amazon.com - has user reviews, but they are less-clearly presented.
• eCoustics.com - specializes in computers, audio/video and camera equipment; for a specific product, go here to get links to reviews from all over the web.
