Enlarge Fonts in Received E-mail:

Most e-mail gets delivered in a 10 pt. font, which is very difficult to read. To make it easier to read you can increase the font size. Go to the toolbar and click on Forward to put the e-mail in a separate window. Click in the body of the message and press Ctrl+A (which will highlight the entire e-mail). Then click on the font size you want (14 pt. font is good). If you don’t see a font size selection on the tool bar, you are probably in Plain Text mode. Go to the Format menu and click on Rich Text. Then repeat these directions. Clicking once in the message area will get rid of the highlighting. Now enjoy reading your e-mail.

BCC (Blind Carbon Copy):

In Outlook Express, to send copies without revealing the recipients to all who will get one, click on "To" in the New Message window. Another window opens to allow you to specify the Bcc copies.

After you send an e-mail to friends using Bcc, and you want to know who the recipients were. Click on Sent Folder—Right Click on the Message—Click on Properties—Click on Details. It will show a list of people the message was sent to.

Put a Hyperlink in your E-mail.
This makes your e-mail look better and keeps you from typing in a long web mail address.

First, get the link you want to copy by opening your browser to the web page that you want to create a link to.
Click on the web address in the address box—when it is highlighted, right-click and select Copy.

Second, type the word or words that you want to use to make the link; like "Go to the Senior Center website by clicking here."
Highlight the word(s) that will be the link; like "here"

Go to the Menu and click Insert—Click Hyperlink
(On the Tool Bar there is a globe icon that you can click on instead of using Insert—Hyperlink)

In the URL box right-click and Paste, and then OK.
This inserts the address of the web site.

The example will look like this: Go to the Senior Center website by clicking here.

Create an E-mail Desktop Shortcut to someone you e-mail often:

Right-click your Desktop
Choose New
Choose Shortcut
Type in the location box: mailto: (and the e-mail address)
Click Next
Give the Shortcut any name you want.
