Crafty Ladies
![]()
We started in 1992 and over the years our group has
grown. Our membership varies and fluctuates because of
new members and departure of others.
Our purpose depends on the different talents within
the group, which include those who quilt, knit and
crochet, and those who stuff gingerbread men for the
police department to give to children.
Some of our quilts are raffled off, and others are
given to charities. We also sell some items in our craft
shop on the premises. We knit hundreds of caps and
mittens each year for the HeadStart organisation. Within
our group we help and teach each other and expand our
talents. It is a happy and dedicated group that
contributes what we can for the worthy causes we serve.
We meet each week on Wednesday morning for about 2 and
1/2 hours, from 9:30 AM to noon. Most of the preparation
work is done at home and brought in each week. While most
of the material comes from donations ( and these are
abundant) some ladies prefer to spend their own money on
their items.
Most of all, we like to invite you to come see us and
look us over. If you like what you see, we invite you to
join. Call us at the Senior Center or contact us via the
Web Page.
Coffee is usually provided and occassional goodies too.
