Investment Clubs

There are several different investment clubs operating at the Senior Center. The original group was formed in 1985 to allow members to invest in the stock market and learn how to maintain a profitable portfolio. Members contribute money to the group in order to provide the capital with which to invest. A research committee meets each month to examine various stocks that might be good prospective buys or sells. The entire organization then meets to vote on recommendations presented by the research committee. While the clubs do make some money, the main reason for meeting is to be social and have fun.
