A...After the rain when the sun appeared,
B...Butterflies came out and had a party.
C...Chickadees, and Bluebirds, and Robins
D...Dunked themselves in the birdbath, and
E...Everywhere, reaching for the cloudless blue sky,
F...Fabulous flowers opened their pedals.
B...Geraniums, and roses, and tiger lilies,
H...Held court beneath the sun.
I...Irises, and red and purple azaleas,
J...Joined in the fun, dancing in the summer breeze.
K...Kibitzing bees, and dragon flies,
L...Laughed as they chased the Humming Birds.
M...Morning Glories climbed higher and higher on the fence by our shed,
N...Nodding their heads in the breeze.
O...Over all the garden and in the meadow, too,
P...Pearly drops of glistening water still clung
Q...Q
uietly to the leaves of the bushes and the trees…
R...Rhododendrons, the Silver Birch, the Oak and the Maple.
S...Squirrels and Rabbits, cavorted on the lawn, while
T...Thrush and Sparrow and Blue Jay played hide and seek
U...Under the hedgerows and along the drive.
V...Violets were refreshed from the rain, and
W...Willow branches danced like demented spirits.
X...Xanthophol turned the fallen leaves to gold, and all living things in my
Y...Yard thanked God for the
Z...Zillions of raindrops that had given them new life.
